Essential  Oils

This is used to protect the health of the body and mental and physical instability that occurs in the body, for the aim of supplementary and preventive medicines of herbal aromatic oils. The origin is seen in Indian and Chinese civilization. As for Egyptians, they have used aromatic oils for embalmment and rituals.

A r o m a t h e r a p y

Essential oils obtained from plants are volatile liquids that are very intense, have an aromatic scent, and are rich in active and chemical structures. Herbal oils have an antiseptic and antiviral effect of calming or stimulating, pain reliever, muscle relaxant, toxic thrower, breath opener, nervous system balancer, depression and insomnia reliever, memory booster and cell renewer depending on the plant groups obtained. The results given are slow however, it has no side effect and is therapeutic. 



The scents of oils basically separate into two as acute and deep. Deep scents, are dense, heavy, and extreme, even if their effects are not fast they spread energy for longer. It is more suitable for hyperactive people. As for acute scents they are more soft, sweet and breezy. It forms a quick effect on the person and spreads energy for a short time. It is suitable for slower people. It is probable to find a suitable scent for you with the combination of these types of oils.        
  
Forms of Usage:



• Massage the aching area with one or two drops of diluted oil.
• Applying the oil that is compatible with the frequency to the chakra’s.
• Adding one cap in to the bathtub and resting for half an hour.
• Dropping 3-4 drops into a bowl full of water and keeping it next to your bed all night.
• Using it in scented bowls with burning candles under it. (Censer)
• Dropping 1-2 drops to the lit bulb (without going inside it) 





Foundation Oils Used for the Face and Body:



• Sesame oil - Jojoba oil (suitable for all skin types)
• Aloe oil - meadow daffodil (Suitable for sensitive type skins)
• Wheat nectar oil - Apricot Core oil (For mature skin types)
• Carrot oil – Hawaii Walnut oil (Cell renewer)
• Bergamot, grapefruit, lemon, orange (For bronze type skin)





Things that need to be paid attention too:



• Aromatherapy should not be used without a doctor’s supervision for people with important sicknesses.
• If using a prescription drug then you must be careful with aromatherapy. For certain oils it will neutralize the effect of medication or it can create side effects.
• A deep breath should be taken from the bottle to the nose.
• A variety of oils should not be smelt one after another.
• Before applying on the skin, for the risk of allergies a scratch test should be done on the arm.
• The feature of the oil being used should be known well.
• You must be careful not to use a dose over the dose that is recommended.
• The same oil and mixture should not be used for a long period of time. 
• A different dose is needed for babies, children and adults.  Only lavender and chamomile can be used.
• The oils that will be used should be thinned with certain oils and should not be taken orally.
• The skin must be clean.
• Excessive polluted air, smoking, drinking and stress will weaken the effect of aromatherapy.
• It should not be applied to Inflammatory and infected diseases, unknown itchiness and rashes, open wounds or burns, muscle ruptures, connective tissue injuries and broken bones 
• In the first 4 months of pregnancy aromatherapy oils should not be used. After the 4th month chamomile, lavender and orange can be used with a lightened dose.
• Rosemary should not be used for people with high blood pressure. 
• Fennel, eucalyptus and thyme should not be used for people with epilepsy.  Rosemary can be used with a low dosage. 
• Eucalyptus, geranium and lemon should not be used for people with diabetes.
• Cinnamon and gillyflower should not be used on the facial area.
• Oils like aniseed, Indian lemon, carrot seed, cinnamon, gillyflower, thyme and camphor should be used pure.
