Acupuncture

Yin & Yang
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a broad range of medicine practices sharing common theoretical concepts which have been developed in China and are based on a tradition of more than 2,000 years, including various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage (Tui na), exercise (qigong), and dietary therapy. TCM's view of the body places little emphasis on anatomical structures, but is mainly concerned with the identification of functional entities (which regulate digestion, breathing, aging etc.). While health is perceived as harmonious interaction of these entities and the outside world, disease is interpreted as a disharmony in interaction. TCM diagnosis consists in tracing symptoms to patterns of an underlying disharmony, mainly by palpating the pulse and inspecting the tongue.
Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM )
Yin and Yang
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, good health is believed to be achieved by a balance between yin and yang. Two other commonly used representational allegories of yin and yang are water and fire. In the yin-yang theory, detailed attributions are made regarding the yin or yang character of things: The concept of yin and yang is also applicable to the human body; for example, the upper part of the body and the back are assigned to yang, while the lower part of the body are believed to have the yin character. Yin and yang characterization also extends to the various body functions, and – more importantly – to disease symptoms (e.g., cold and heat sensations are assumed to be yin and yang symptoms, respectively).
Five Phases
It sometimes also translated as the "Five Elements" theory, presumes that all phenomena of the universe and nature can be broken down into five elemental qualities – represented by wood (木), fire (火), earth (土), metal (金), and water (水). Strict rules are identified to apply to the relationships between the Five Phases in terms of sequence, of acting on each other, of counteraction etc. All these aspects of Five Phases theory constitute the basis of the zàng-fǔ concept, and thus have great influence regarding the TCM model of the body. Five Phase theory is also applied in diagnosis and therapy.
Qi ( Chi )
It is partially generated from food and drink, and partially from air (by breathing).[48] Another considerable part of it is inherited from the parents and will be consumed in the course of life.[48]
In terms of location, TCM uses special terms for qi running inside of the blood vessels and for qi which is distributed in the skin, muscles, and tissues between those.
The Meridians
They are channels running from the zàng-fǔ in the interior of the body to the limbs and joints transporting qi. TCM identifies 12 "regular" and 2 "extraordinary" meridians, bioenergy channels.

Herbal Drugs
There are roughly 13,000 medicinals used in China and over 100,000 medicinal recipes recorded in the ancient literature. Plant elements and extracts are by far the most common elements used. In the classic Handbook of Traditional Drugs from 1941, 517 drugs were listed – out of these, 45 were animal parts, and 30 were minerals.

Acupuncture
It means insertion of needles into superficial structures of the body (skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles) – usually at acupuncture points (acupoints) – and their subsequent manipulation; this aims at influencing the flow of qi. According to TCM it relieves pain and treats (and prevents) various diseases.
Acupuncture is often accompanied by moxibustion – the Chinese characters for acupuncture literally meaning "acupuncture-moxibustion" – which involves burning mugwort on or near the skin at an acupuncture point. In electroacupuncture, an electrical current is applied to the needles once they are inserted, in order to further stimulate the respective acupuncture points.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has compiled a list of disorders for which acupuncture may have an effect: adverse reactions to chemotherapy and radiation, induction of labor, sciatica, dysmenorrhea, depression, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, and low back pain. According to a 2007 review article, "the emerging clinical evidence seems to imply that acupuncture is effective for some but not all conditions". A 2011 Cochrane reviewdocumented that acupuncture is effective in the treatment of migraines, neck disorders, tension headaches, and some types of osteoarthritis, while results were inconclusive for efficacy in treating shoulder pain, lateral elbow pain, and low back pain, and negative forrheumatoid arthritis. There is evidence "that acupuncture provides a short-term clinically relevant effect when compared with a waiting list control or when acupuncture is added to another intervention" in the treatment of chronic low back pain.Tui na
Tui na is a form of massage akin to acupressure (from which shiatsu evolved). Oriental massage is typically administered with the patient fully clothed, without the application of grease or oils. Choreography often involves thumb presses, rubbing, percussion, and stretches.
Qi Gong ( Chi Kung )
It is a TCM system of exercise and meditation that combines regulated breathing, slow movement, and focused awareness, purportedly to cultivate and balance qi. One branch of qigong is qigong massage, in which the practitioner combines massage techniques with awareness of the acupuncture channels and
Cupping
It is a type of Chinese massage, consisting of placing several glass "cups" (open spheres) on the body. A match is lit and placed inside the cup and then removed before placing the cup against the skin. As the air in the cup is heated, it expands, and after placing in the skin, cools, creating lower pressure inside the cup that allows the cup to stick to the skin viasuction. When combined with massage oil, the cups can be slid around the back, offering "reverse-pressure massage".

There should not be restrictive objects where a large portion of Chi is in the entry of the house and it should be well- maintained.
That first thing attracting attention when entering the house should be a delighting positive Picture or object.
Natural lighting should be at a sufficient level. If it is insufficient it needs to be reinforced with lamplights that do not give direct light (fluorescent lamps are not recommended). Sunlight entering from the South brings vitality and health, sunlight entering from the east brings new beginnings and optimism, and sunlight entering from the west brings love and comfort.
Wide leaved live plants and flowers that grow upwards spread plenty of Chi. (freed, dried, faded thorny cactuses and shrubby bonsai type plants are not recommended)
Even if the weather is cold, clean air needs to be taken inside. (Very windy weathers energy is not recommended).
The walls can awaken a completely white empty feeling. It should be brightened with other colors. As a plain color, It is recommended to use a cream or an ivory color. Places like working, sports rooms should be colored in tones that represent activity and liveliness like red, orange and yellow, whereas places like resting areas, bedrooms should be blue or green.
Goods and clothing that are not worn should not be kept in the house. It is recommended to be given to people in need and that the house is simple and orderly.
Sloped ceilings or low places can cause energy jamming. To put a long plant or lighting under low places is suitable.
Narrow and long corridors can cause the chi energy to accelerate and make the people in the location to be hasty, panic, and angry and without tolerance. ( In long corridors objects can be placed to slow down the energy flow)
The section without a door between two rooms, symbolizes loneliness and staying single. (it is recommended to be separated by a string of beads or curtains)
Indents in the wall, hidden parts under the stairs can cause secrecy, cover up and intrigue in feeling of the people in the location. (These negative features can be resolved by plants, lightening, books and sculptures that Express movement or an object).
Ornaments shaped like bars found on the bed head can sense captivity in the person.
To calm the hyperactive children in the house stand near the window, it is recommended to use curtains.

This is an energy-canalized method that shows how to build the balance of the energy in the location we live and work in, and its origin is based on old china. Just like our bodies the flow of Chi energy needs to be continuous, slow and soft in the location we live in. The vocabulary meaning is wind and water. Wind and water, are two flowing elements that effect nature. Their principle based on 7000 years ago together with, close to 5000 years ago I Ching being refined with its evolution and the concerned books were written hundreds of years ago Before Christ. ( I Ching: is an Antique Chinese origin philosophical text also mentioned as the changed books. The person identified with this, is a Confucian that has written their comprehensive comment. It has also been used as a prophecy mediator, although it helps the person find their answers within their self by offering advice and guidance more than telling the future. )
It has been used as a mediator of continuing the Chinese emperor’s strength and richness and hiding it as a secret, for many years it has been protected from other cultures. As for these days especially Hong Kong the Far East and the far west (especially USA) in the current life, has been used in finance and architecture. In this period the global and individual health that has increased the importance of returning to nature, Feng Shui offers more practical and effective suggestions to help living. The applications are organized in different symbol tools like plants, crystals, natural’s stones, artificial fountains, wind-bells, mobiles (turning decorations) and mirrors.
The proposed basis of complementary medicine is; "a healthy mind in a healthy body". As for Feng Shui the basis proposed is "a healthy person in a healthy location". Feng Shui that says, "Changing places is changing chance" brings practical solutions without making huge changes at home or in the office. Although the basic techniques of Feng Shui of the persons common sense, depends on their internal and visual pleasure. For example, the path to the entrance gate to the basic principles of various objects together would make sense not to block at the same time. Feng Shui has a proposed circulating life energy of "Chi" in our meridian to travel in the locations. This energy has been taken and used in different names and different cultures. However, the ancient Chinese have excelled and brought the universal life energy otherwise as Chi to be used by other people to easily converted useful methods. This ancient Chinese Art of Healing ( Ki has now been accepted by modern medicine ) acupuncture is the best example of this. In fact, in a sense, Feng Shui is an acupuncture applied to location.
When applying techniques the houses aspects become important. According to the directions of the compass shown, it predicts the location to be separated into 9 sections. These nine sections take 8 important dimensions of our lives (career, education and health, family, wealth and abundance, glory and dignity, love and marriage, children, support and solidarity) and the energy output of the centre Into it. It Is expressed on the Bagua map with directions. Then with the elements that activate in these aspects in that region are fed and equilibrium is established. If Feng Shui is applied correctly then positive results of the person and other members of the family can be seen after a while.
In antique Chinese culture, the natural strengths are collected in five basic elements. These are; Fire, Soil, Metal and Wood. Between the elements, it is accepted that harmony will bring harmony to living. Each element has its own characteristic and symbol objects.
Everywhere that has flowing living energy has Chi’s three dimensions. These are;
1. Quantity: It is not good to have too much energy or to little energy. Too much Chi, will give hyperactivity to those found at home. When this energy is not used is can be a cause for unnecessary arguments and angriness. Where as too little energy, can cause tiredness, exhaustion, depression and not to enjoy life.
2. Quality: Low quality of Chi energy found in or around the house is spread from negative perception objects and locations. For example, photos or pictures on the wall that depicter sadness, anger or pain, faded and dried flowers, dirt and dampness, or a grave that symbolizes death, a hospital that symbolizes sickness or a prison that symbolizes captivity can be a reason for these. Where as high quality chi is spread from nice plants and flowers (especially alive), clean air, scents that give comfort, a delicious meal, or natural stones or crystals.
3. Motion: An ideal situation gives permission for the chi energy to flow comfortably in the location. A quite simple and tasteful furnished house allows this. An angled and circle object and the balanced use of furniture will increase fluency. Briefly, however comfortably we move at home and how peaceful we are, chi will be that fluent and it will continuously bring us living energy, abundance, fertility and luck.
